This Italian lidded vessel reflects the elegance of Florentine decorative arts. Standing over 14 inches tall, it is finished in a deep cobalt blue with hand-applied gilt accents, set on a graceful pedestal base. The vessel is marked Il Verrocchio, Florence Italy, a workshop name honoring the Renaissance master Andrea del Verrocchio and associated with fine ceramics produced in Florence during the mid-20th century.
