Sizing guide

Feathered like a jewel box, this small ceramic bird perches on a pedestal with quiet poise. The body is hand-painted in Tonalá/Tlaquepaque style—moss and turquoise greens, cobalt notes, and cocoa plumage outlined in inky brushwork—then finished with a soft crackle glaze that catches the light. Turn it in your hands and you’ll find a stylized floral cartouche across the back and a flowing “Mexico” script mark to the base.

Pieces like this emerged from Jalisco workshops in the mid-20th century and into the 1960s–1970s, when Mexico’s folk-art studios translated traditional motifs into sculptural table pieces. It’s a perfect accent for a bookshelf, windowsill, or curated vignette—small, vivid, and full of life.
